Civilization Wars

Civilization Wars is acustom map designed for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. It is a fusion of gaming styles based in part on the Civilization series of video games and its like minded historical competitors with a "line war" style map, like Tech Wars, where players manage spawn locations and upgrades in order to counter the enemy's attempted attacks and in the end down the enemy base.

Civilization wars includes a research tree of nearly 50 technologies spread across 4 historical time periods. As the military units advance the balance of power changes, sometimes dramatically. Players can choose to fight on land or at sea with a great variety of units that keep changing with the times. As your units advance they can capture strategic resources located on the map. These resources can change the course of battle by providing bonus income, increasing your food supply, or making unique and powerful special units available that otherwise can't be built. Civilization Wars can also be won in multiple ways. Modes can be activated allowing players to win by strategically controling key points for long periods of time or by winning a "space race" as a salute to the series of games that helped inspire this one.
