There are 4 gametypes in this game, Basic mode, Normal mode, Advanced mode, and Allies Vs Enemy mode. Each mode is a little different. My personal favorite is Allies Vs Enemy mode. In this mode, there is an enemy base, and you have to search for it and destroy it. If a fellow ally dies in the process, he turns evil, and helps the enemy destroy you.

This game is all about strategy, how will you set up your base to maximize revenue, and safety? Will you get lots of lumber? Maybe you will get lots of gold and convert it to lumber...You can choose what you like, how you like, and whatever you wish, just survive. Each player has a unique ability to create a certain different and unique item, which he can sell to other fellow players, or to the buyers on the road. The techtree for this game almost never ends, I have never EVER completed the full techtree. Certain people who play this game will want to have different strategys, for example, play it defencive, or offencive? Kill your allies? Or work with them? Stay alone? Build together? I can't answer this. YOU must.
